Anger is an important emotion
In Chinese, the words for becoming angry, shen qi, mean "generating the chi," or increasing life force.

Anger, like fear, can be a useful emotion. Like pain, anger can grow until it becomes destructive and the cause of misery. Even so, anger is a part of our humanity. The idea that anger can make a positive contribution in our lives is a critical element in FireWorks. Other resources and programs extoll the dangers of anger while overlooking its essential role as a healthy basic emotion.

Journal entry#8. Anger positives. Take out your journal. Make a list of reasons why you think anger could be a positive emotion. Don't worry if you cannot think of anything. Just give it a try. Can you imagine any situation in which anger could be helpful?

Continue when you are done sketching some of your ideas.
