Lesson 9: Choosing a course of action in anger management (Part One: Other may or may not be angry)
Choosing a course of action flows from recognition, evaluation, and assessment. FireWorks-2 examines thirteen skills. All these courses of action can be used with both adults and children. Some of these action skills focus primarily on self-care. The other person may or may not feel angry. For the most part, the following courses of action are low risk because they emphasize self-mastery:

This is a skill Take a breath of life
This is a skill Release physical tension
This is a skill Conform or leave circumstances I cannot change
This is a skill Give myself a time out
This is a skill When angry, slow down my response
This is a skill Use words to accurately own my own emotions
