Help those who are hungry.

Participate in the Empty Bowls project.

 

 

Will you MAKE a bowl for hunger?

 

February 24th and 27th           Make a bowl for only a $5 studio fee at the

Manhattan Arts Center Clay Studio (6-9pm)

located in the little building just east of the Manhattan Art Center at 1520 Poyntz Ave.

Really, no experience necessary!

 

Will you BUY a bowl for hunger?

 

March 26th- April 17th    Select a locally handmade bowl for a $10 donation at Bluestem Bistro in Aggieville on Moro St. and Edesia on Poyntz.

 

 

On April 17th                 (5-8 pm) bring your Empty Bowl and fill it with free soup at Texas Star Café in Aggieville

The K-State Women’s Center and KSU Campaign For Nonviolence will organize this event with support from other organizations, individuals, and businesses to include:

KSU Art Department, KSU Potter’s Guild, The Manhattan Arts Center, Manhattan High School Ceramic Students, GSOVA - Graduate Students of Visual Arts, Bluestem Bistro, Edesia, and The fabulous Hibachi Hut/Texas Star Café.

2006 Empty Bowls recipients met at Texas Star with Women's Center/Campaign for Nonviolence staff members to receive checks of $893.58 each in May.
