W.A.R. –
Wildcats Against Rape—Came from the class.
PEERS (Proactive Educators for Eliminating Rape and Sexual assault) is a 3 hour class which brings in detectives, lawyers, doctors, psychologists, etc. to teach about various aspects of rape. Students learn to educate others through this course-- but a number of students, male and female, wanted to form a student group made up of both those who had taken the class and those who have not, to bring activism to the issue of violence against K-State women and against women in general.
