Carissa Fredrickson

Carissa has a B.S. in Biology
from K-State, and is currently working on her B.S.
in Secondary Education with
licenses in Biology and Chemistry. Her lab
work focuses on conservation
genetics of the Northern Bobwhite quail in
southeast Kansas. She is
looking at the genetic diversity of quail from
four different populations in
southeast Kansas to get a feel for the
overall genetic health of quail in
that area. Her main goal is to gain
insight to the possible causes of
the overall quail population decline
through obersving the genetic
diversity in this area.
