Juan Campos

Juan Campos is
a veterinarian from Paraguay
who
worked for several years on a conservation project dedicated to save
the
Chacoan Peccary (Catagonus
wagneri)
from extinction. Currently as a PhD candidate,
he works on landscape genetics and ecology of the largest rodent in the
world,
the Capybara (Hydrochaeris
hydrochaeris),
in the Chaco region of Paraguay. He
uses telemetry, as well as noninvasive sampling methods such as using
feces as
a source of DNA for molecular analysis.
