Lieutenant Colonel Edward A. Meyer

Lieutenant Colonel Edward A. Meyer is commander of AFROTC Detachment 270, Professor of Aerospace Studies, and Head of the Department of Aerospace Studies at Kansas State University, Manhattan, Kansas.
Lt Col Meyer was born in Germany and graduated from California's Torrance High School in June 1985 before entering the Air Force as a member of the USAF Academy's class of 1989. Following commissioning, Lt Col Meyer entered the combat air forces as an air weapons controller and completed initial controller training in January 1990. Thereafter, he served in a variety of operations and staff assignments and qualified and employed in several air and ground-based air battle management platforms. Lt Col Meyer's operational deployments include Operations DESERT SHIELD/STORM, SOUTHERN WATCH, UPHOLD DEMOCRACY, DELIBERATE FORGE/GUARD, ALLIED FORCE/ NOBLE ANVIL, ENDURING FREEDOM and IRAQI FREEDOM. He was previously assigned as the Chief, A7 Training Division, 321 Air Expeditionary Wing, Coalition Air Force Training Team, Baghdad, Iraq. Lt Col Meyer is married and has two children.
