Captain Nathan Kaiser

Captain Kaiser began his military career in April 1993 at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego, California. Upon graduating 12 weeks of "Marine Corps Boot Camp", he attended Marine Combat Training, School of Infantry, and Security Forces Courses. Following completion of eight months of Marine training, he was assigned to Marine Barracks 8th & I, Washington, D.C. serving as Ceremonial Guard to the Commandant of the Marine Corps while awaiting his Security Clearance. In July 1994, he was reassigned to Naval Support Facility, Marine Security Company, Presidential Support, Camp David, Maryland. During his 2-year assignment, he served as the Corporal of the Presidential Guard in charge of supervising and training Marines in the duties of protecting the President of the United States, Vice President of the United States, Congressmen/Congresswomen, and Foreign Dignitaries. In April of 1996 Captain Kaiser was reassigned to the 2nd Battalion 7th Marines, 1st Marine Division, 29 Palms, California, later to be deployed to Okinawa and forward deployed to Hokkaido, Japan, improving relations with the Japanese Infantry through multi-nation combat training exercises. He left the Marine Corps in 1997 to pursue a college degree. Captain Kaiser received his degree and commission through the Reserve Officer Training Corps, Southeast Missouri State University, Cape Girardeau, Missouri in May 2001. He has fulfilled one of his dreams, to be the first in the family to earn a degree. He was assigned to Scott Air Force Base, Illinois upon commissioning where he served as the C-5, C-17, and C-141 Weapon System Manager. In 2003, he was assigned to Joint Task Force-Bravo, Enrique Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras in the Sub-Area Petroleum Office in charge of petroleum support for Central America, providing Humanitarian Assistance and Counter-drug operations throughout Central America. Captain Kaiser met his wife while stationed in Honduras. Their next assignment brought them to Incirlik Air Base, Turkey. During his two year assignment he worked as the Materiel Management Flight Commander and Readiness Flight Commander supporting OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM, OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM, and the Pakistan Earthquake Relief Mission.
