More than 100 fourth- through sixth-grade students from the Shawnee Mission School District participated in a lab/field experience to learn more about the quality of water on the Kansas State University Olathe campus, April 23 and 24.

Twenty Kansas teachers are immersed in One Health at K-State Olathe
Kansas State University Olathe, in partnership with One Health Kansas, offered a hands-on professional development in-service program on the awareness and understanding of the interconnections among human, animal and environmental health, June 11-14, at the Olathe campus.
The in-service program included a day all about water, which included an on-site visit to the Johnson County Blue River Wastewater Plant, the Blue
Valley Wilderness Science Center and rain garden, as well as stream monitoring with the US Geological Survey, and a coagulation experiment in the lab.
