Website Permissions
Before we set up your office training
University Publications needs you to update your website permissions by sending a simple e-mail to K-State's webmaster. We will need you to complete this step before we can schedule your office's training.
This is necessary so that University Publications staff can assist you in the building and administration of your pages, which are part of the Current students webpage and templates. We will not access your site to make corrections or to alter or maintain it once it has gone live, but we need access to your site in order to train and help your staff build pages, to provide technical troubleshooting, and to review implementation before your site goes live.
Please have your director or the appropriate person from your office send the information.
If you have any questions, or need further information, please contact one of the University Publications staff listed below. You can e-mail or call 2-6419.
How to change your permissions
- Send an e-mail to webmaster@k-state.edu with "Website permissions update" in the subject line.
- Copy and paste the message below into the e-mail:
Please add the following University Publications staff to the permissions for our website:
Trevor Davis: tjdavis@k-state.edu
Charles Dillon: cdill@k-state.edu
Stephanie Gorges: sgorges@k-state.edu
Shelli Kutz: skutz@k-state.edu
Sharon Morrow: smorrow@k-state.edu
Donalyn Rhodes: donalyn@k-state.edu
Thank you.
Setting up a temporary directory
Next you need to e-mail University Publications with the eIDs of the people who will be working on your site. We will then have CNS set up a temporary directory to build your new site. This way you can work without worrying about overwriting anything on the old site. When the site is done CNS will move the new site over to the correct directory.
- Collect eIDs of people that will either be creating or correcting pages.
- Send e-mail to donalyn@k-state.edu with "Temporary directory" in the subject line. Include the eIDs in the message.
