Quick guide to the styles

Page title

Gray, all caps

This page title is not a style sheet; it's an area where you type in information directly. Your page title usually will be a topic name from your lefthand navigation bar; it should label the section of information your user is visiting. (Then use Heading 1 to label the specific content on your page.)

Set cursor in the box and type. It will automatically be gray and in all caps. On this page, the page title is the words, "BUILD A NEW PAGE."

Headlines

Heading 1: Purple, all caps

Use this for the main topic of the page. Most pages can get by with only one heading of this size. Choose “Heading 1.”

Heading 2: Black, upper and lower

Use this for headlines on your page. Choose “Heading 2.”

Heading 3: Bold gray, upper and lower

Use this for subheads throughout your page. Choose “Heading 3.”

Body type

Body type: Gray

Use this for body type. Choose “gray.”

To make italic

Use this to highlight book titles, words that need emphasis, web addresses, etc. Choose “gray” if you are italicizing a body type. If you just want selected words within a paragraph to be italics, highlight them and click on the “I” next to the pull-down menu.

To make bold

Use this for bolding individual words in a paragraph. Choose “gray” if you are bolding a body type. If you just want selected words within a paragraph to be bold, highlight them and click on the “B” next to the pull-down menu.
