The signature typeface for K-State is a customized version of Arrus italics, an elegant typeface with nice curves and a variety of thick and thin lines. This serif typeface reflects the tradition of K-State, yet also reflects K-State's contemporary mission and activities. The combination of curves, straight lines, and oval shapes are repeated in the Anderson Hall and PowerCat symbols. Kansas State University appears in Futura, which is also used for the body copy on the letterhead, envelopes, and business cards. No other type or graphic elements can be combined with the signature type except as shown on the various publications in this manual. The design is standard and cannot be altered. The logos must be reproduced from authorized sources and may not be redrawn or reproportioned.
