Ultimate Frisbee Summer League
Bored with traditional summer sports? Looking for something new? Have we got the thing for you!

Ultimate Frisbee has been around since the 70’s and has gained popularity all over the globe. It is played at every skill level from the most recreational backyard games to the ultra-competitive World Championships. There are high school leagues, college leagues, club leagues, masters leagues, and pro leagues. There are Men’s teams, Women’s teams, and Co-Rec teams at all levels of play. And now you can join in the fun with a summer Ultimate league right here in Manhattan!

Just like last year, members of K-State’s Ultimate team (the ever-so-famous Flying Dorothys) are splitting up into small groups to find new players and create a handful of co-rec teams to play over the summer months. Their goal is to provide an organized format for teaching Ultimate, both beginning skills and advanced play. Teams will meet once a week on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 pm to about 8:00pm at the City Park in the heart of Manhattan. Each week teams will learn new skills and play short games against the other league teams. There will be no formal league standings, but there will be a small league tournament at summer’s end with cool prizes!

Teams will be put together more or less at random from anyone that signs up, but if you have particular players you would like to play with, this will certainly be accommodated. The object is to have fun, and any suggestions are welcome.
Oh yeah, did we mention that it's FREE!

Starts June 8th!
UPA disc logo
Ultimate:
A fast-paced team sport, played with a disc. A sport that has traditionally relied upon a code of sportsmanship which places the responsibility for fair play on the players themselves.
There are no referees.
Highly competitive play is encouraged, but never at the expense of the bond of mutual respect between players or the basic joy of play.
This is the Spirit of the Game.
