Looking to get involved in a good cause? Check out the Up 'til Dawn committee

Submitted by Ben Herbel

We are currently accepting applications for the 2013-2014 Up 'til Dawn committee.

In case you're not familiar with Up 'til Dawn, it is the student-led, student-run philanthropy that raises money for St. Jude's Children's Cancer Research Center. Over the last 10 years, 370 campuses have participated in the Up 'til Dawn program, raising more than $24 million dollars for St. Jude. The success rate for acute lymphoblastic leukemia — the most common form of childhood cancer — has grown to 94 percent thanks to college students like you.

Up 'til Dawn committee is a lot of fun. We have several events throughout the year including; fundraising throughout the fall asking friends and family to donate to St. Jude, and a benefit concert in the spring, with the Josh Abbott Band last year. The Up 'til Dawn committee makes a huge impact on the lives of children, and it's a great way to get involved on campus.

The application can be found online and a description of each of the positions is available. If you'd like to apply, fill it out and turn it in to the office of greek affairs in Room 214 of the K-State Student Union. The applications are due Sept. 6.

If you have any questions feel free to contact Ben Herbel at benh@k-state.edu.
