Mathematics, science, engineering students invited to learn about the Goldwater Scholarship

By Jim Hohenbary

Are you a successful undergraduate in a mathematics, science or engineering field who is considering going on to graduate school in the future?

If so, please join Jim Hohenbary, assistant dean for Nationally Competitive Scholarships, at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, or Thursday, Oct. 3, in the K-State Student Union Stateroom 3 to learn more about the Goldwater Scholarship, a prestigious undergraduate scholarship for students considering careers related to research and innovation.

The campus application deadline for applying for the Goldwater is Oct. 25. These informational sessions will discuss who is eligible for the Goldwater, how to apply for the campus nomination and what the Goldwater scholarship committee looks for in successful candidates. Hohenbary also will share tips for creating an effective application.
