Boren Awards offer support for study/research abroad, information session starts Sept. 9

Submitted by Jim Hohenbary

Craig Frederickson from the Institute of International Education will visit the Manhattan campus on Monday, Sept. 9, to share information with students about the Boren Scholarship and Boren Fellowship programs.

These generous national awards, funded by the National Security Education Program, support study abroad to to countries outside of Western Europe, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

Frederickson will provide an overview of the awards and offer tips on how to prepare a competitive application. He will share information about the Boren Undergraduate Scholarship at 11 a.m. and discuss the Boren Graduate Fellowship at noon. Both sessions will be in Stateroom One in the K-State Student Union. Students are welcome to bring their lunch.
