Wildcat astronauts wanted for NASA-funded research

Submitted by Carl Ade

The kinesiology department is seeking students and staff, younger than 45 years old, to participate in a NASA funded research project examining the physiological responses to performing mission tasks — such as climbing stairs, lifting boxes and foot maneuvers — at exercise intensities similar to that experienced by the Apollo astronauts.

These intensities will range from walking and jogging. In addition, all levels of physical fitness both low and high are wanted. You do not need to be trained. It only requires four to five days of testing for one hour each day and counts toward volunteer hours on your resume. If you are interested please contact Carl Ade at cade@k-state.edu.
