Partial closure for parking lot A28, south of Ackert Hall

Submitted by Jack Carlson

The Division of Biology in Ackert Hall is upgrading the HVAC unit for their continued research. As a result a large crane will need to be staged on two separate dates to lift the HVAC units onto the roof.

• On Monday, April 15, a steel support frame is planned to be hoisted onto the Ackert Hall roof.

• On Wednesday, April 24, a larger crane will hoist the HVAC equipment onto the steel support frame previously set on the Ackert Hall roof.

The crane will be staged south of Ackert Hall on the north side of A28 parking lot early on each of the mornings and provided the large cranes can maneuver around the parked cars the crane will vacate the space once the lift is complete. We can expect the crane lifts to last most of each morning.

We know this will be an inconvenience for parking patrons in this lot and beg forgiveness in the name of progress.
