2014 K-State Proud co-chair applications are now being accepted

Submitted by Chris Kellenbarger

The 2014 K-State Proud co-chair applications are now being accepted via email. They are due by 11:59 p.m. Sunday, March 10, to Chris Kellenbarger at ckellenb@k-state.edu.

K-State Proud, "Students Helping Students," is a nationally recognized philanthropic campaign that raises money from K-State students for K-State students. The money is allocated through Student Opportunity Awards for students who have exhausted all financial resources and are in danger of leaving the university.

The K-State Proud co-chair position is a very important leadership role within the K-State Proud student campaign. As co-chair you will be the face of the campaign, as well as leading the Campaign Advisory Board, which consists of 35 student leaders from the Student Foundation and other areas of campus. You would be expected to meet with the other co-chairs and Student Foundation leadership on a weekly basis from August 2013 to March 2014. This position would require several hours a week to plan and facilitate the campaign. Despite the time commitment, past co-chairs would agree that it has been their most rewarding experience at K-State.

Please visit the K-State Proud website and check out the leadership tab to find the application for this year. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Chris Kellenbarger at ckellenb@k-state.edu
