Use your salesmanship to earn scholarship money

Take the role of an Edward Jones financial adviser during the fall 2012 Edward Jones Sales Competition. Compete for scholarship money and a spot in the K-State national sales team.

Students must register by 5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2. The competition will take place between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10. Students must be available for 30 minutes on October 10.

Contestants will be provided with background information on a prospective customer and will have eight minutes to meet and persuade them to consider Edward Jones for their financial needs.

Four winners and two alternates will be chosen. Each winner will receive a $500 scholarship, and each alternate will receive $250. Winners and alternates will also travel to Atlanta March 1-4, 2013, with all expenses paid and also have the chance to compete in the National Collegiate Sales Competition at Kennesaw State University.

The sales competition is open to any Kansas State University undergraduate student on the Manhattan campus and is hosted by the National Strategic Selling Institute in the College of Business Administration. For more information please visit cba.k-state.edu/nssi.
