Buckwalter named to board of directors

Submitted by College of Human Ecology

Dean Buckwalter

John Buckwalter, dean of the College of Human Ecology, was elected to the board of directors for the Board on Human Sciences within the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities, or APLU. The board term will last three years and begin in November.

"It's an honor to be re-elected to the board of directors for APLU's board on human sciences," Buckwalter said. "The board on human sciences is a leading organization that represents the diversity of programs that you find in the College of Human Ecology at Kansas State University. It is unique in that aspect as you do not find many professional organizations that represent the breadth of programs like ours including extension. I am excited to serve in this capacity for another three years."

The Board on Human Sciences Inc. is an association of administrators of higher education units responsible for research/discovery, extension/outreach, and teaching/learning programs in the human sciences at universities across the country. Its members are committed to a national agenda that unifies disciplines within and beyond the human sciences to enrich people's lives.
