Manhattan Good Neighbors needs volunteers Saturday April 28. We will be working to improve the Manhattan community for the Manhattan Good Neighbors Spring Clean from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Manhattan Good Neighbors provides opportunities for students and the community to build positive relationships through neighborhood clean-ups, educational seminars and other service projects. Manhattan Good Neighbors is a program of HandsOn Kansas State, the volunteer center on campus that creates opportunities for all Manhattan citizens to volunteer, learn and lead in their communities.

University students and faculty are encouraged to volunteer for the Manhattan Good Neighbors Spring Clean. Volunteers will be working on projects in Triangle Park in partnership with the city of Manhattan, as well as cleaning up yards for local senior citizens in need.  Please dress comfortably in closed-toed shoes and work clothing that may get dirty.  Depending on the projects to which volunteers are assigned, additional gear will be provided by Manhattan Good Neighbors. However volunteers are encouraged to bring gloves and basic yard tools if possible.

Manhattan Good Neighbors and HandsOn Kansas State will meet volunteers at 10 a.m. in Triangle Park in Aggieville, 623 N. Manhattan Ave. Volunteers are encouraged to register for the project online at www.handson.ksu.edu. For more information, please contact Manhattan Good Neighbors at mgn@k-state.edu.

Manhattan Good Neighbors and HandsOn Kansas State hope to see you Saturday.
