Apply for the 2017 Science Communication Fellowship Program

Submitted by Michi Tobler

K-State graduate students and postdocs are invited to apply for the 2017 Science Communication Fellows Program coordinated by Manhattan's Sunset Zoo. The program is a network of certified researchers, professionals, graduate students and postgraduate students — including many K-Staters — working together to connect the community to science and elevate the understanding of science related work taking part in the region.

Fellows will participate in professional development workshops to enhance their communication skills, develop a hands-on educational activity, and engage the community with the educational activity at three public programs.

The Science Communication Fellowship Program is part of the national Portal to the Public Network and has received additional support from K-State's Graduate School.

Applications are due May 5.

Contact Jared Bixby, curator for education at Sunset Zoo, at bixby@cityofmhk.com or 785-587-2737 with any questions.
