Stop by Panda Express today to support Project EXCELL

Submitted by Clara Wicoff

Support Project EXCELL by eating at Panda Express in the K-State Student Union from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on March 29.

To support Project EXCELL, you must also show the Project EXCELL flyer at Panda Express.

Project EXCELL is a community-based program offered through UFM Community Learning Center and designed for adults with special needs. Through Project EXCELL, special needs adults ages 18 years and older take classes each Saturday at Kansas State University. The essential program provides both personal enrichment and life skills classes to these individuals.

A graduation ceremony will be May 6 for the individuals who participated in Project EXCELL. K-State students in the honors leadership class taught by Marcia Hornung are working to raise funds for the graduation ceremony, as well as the classes provided by Project EXCELL.

For graduation, each student and his or her family members are invited to receive a diploma, enjoy refreshments, and watch a video of the classes.

Proceeds will be used to cover refreshments as well as entertainment from Willie the Wildcat and the K-State Marching Band.
