Submitted by Amy Rosine

The K-State Kappa Upsilon chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota, an international music fraternity, was awarded the Katherine Becker Province Award for the Theta A province.

The award is given to chapters that show exceptional organization, service to the university and community and make the national objectives of Sigma Alpha Iota the focus of all chapter events. Amy Rosine, Susan Maxwell and Anna Marie Wytko serve as faculty advisors.

Sigma Alpha Iota was founded in 1903 and has 340 active chapters.
