K-State Libraries provide study spaces, sustenance and sympathy

Submitted by Sarah McGreer Hoyt

De-Stress at Hale

Finals week is nearly here, but there will be plenty of great study spots and de-stress events at K-State Libraries.

If you're looking for quiet study space, you'll want to find a spot on Hale Library's third floor. On the third floor, cellphones should be on vibrate, conversations or group work are discouraged and headphones should be turned down.

Please note that the Great Room in the northwest corner of the third floor has a very limited number of power outlets, so laptops and other electronics are not recommended.

Caffeine Fix returns on Sunday, May 8; Monday, May 9 and Tuesday, May 10. Free coffee, tea, snacks and sympathy will be served from 8-10 p.m.

This year's generous sponsors include Einstein Bros Bagels, Bluestem Bistro, Jimmy John's, Mr. Goodcents and Varsity Donuts.

Looking for other ways to de-stress? We've got you covered!

  • Paws for a Study Break with Kittens: 11 a.m. to noon Monday, May 9, on Hale Library's fifth floor.
  • Yoga!: 2-3 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, on Hale Library's fifth floor. Please bring your own mat or towel.
  • Paws for a Study Break with Dogs: 7-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, in front of Hale Library.

The K-State first dog, Cayenne, will make special appearances during finals week, too. Visit @KStateLibraries on Twitter or Instagram for details.
