K-State Proud campaign ongoing this week

By Casey Dwyer

K-State Proud week is here!

During the past five years, K-State Proud has continued to build on the tradition of students helping students. The campaign has impacted hundreds of K-Staters through Student Opportunity Awards, raising more than $450,000 for students in financial need since the campaign began in 2007.

Drop by the K-State Student Union this week to donate to the campaign, and be sure to mark your calendars with our schedule of events:
  • Tuesday: Learn more about the newest branch of K-State Proud, Passions for Proud, and how you can use your talents to help your fellow K-Staters.
  • Wednesday: Stop by the information table to learn more about Student Opportunity Awards, visit with past recipients and learn how you can nominate yourself or someone you know for an Student Opportunity Award.
  • Thursday: Snap a photo with everyone's favorite mascot, Willie the Wildcat!
  • Friday: Come enjoy some delicious Call Hall ice cream and make your donation to help us reach our goal of $120,000.
