Cancer survivors ages 35-65 who are not currently receiving cancer treatment — last treatment within five years — are needed to participate in a one-month exercise program. Participants of any activity and fitness level are eligible to participate in this research study.

The program is from 5-6 p.m. Sundays, 5:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, March 30 through May 1 in Room 4 of the Natatorium. Participants will learn new exercises and stretching techniques to improve your health and quality of life.

Certified CrossFit coaches will lead group-based exercise sessions that will incorporate a variety of time-efficient exercises and stretching. Classes are designed with emphasis on learning and mastering exercise techniques. Focus is on personal achievements in a noncompetitive environment. Each session will include a strength or skill component as well as mobility work, emphasizing the importance of stretching and recovery.

You must be cleared by your doctor to participate. You will receive a $25 gift card and a free month of Functional Fitness and Mobility classes upon study completion. Child care is available if needed.
