Geography faculty candidate to present on modeling dynamics of moving objects

Atsushi Nara, research scientist at the Center for Spatial Analysis at the University of Oklahoma, will give a public lecture at 4 p.m. Monday, Feb. 10, in 132 Seaton Hall.

Nara’s talk is "Modeling and Mining Spatio-Temporal Dynamics of Moving Objects."

Nara is a candidate for the nature-society assistant professor position in the geography department, who is seeking to add research expertise in the areas of complex system thinking and geospatial computational methods to address issues of Nature-Society interactions, population or health geography.  

The presentation is sponsored by the Beta Psi chapter of Gamma Theta Upsilon, the International Geography Honor Society, and the geography department.
