Students invited to learn more about the Udall Scholarship

By Jim Hohenbary

If you are passionate about environmental issues and plan to pursue a career related to that passion, the Udall Scholarship might be a great fit for you.  If you would like to learn more, join Jim Hohenbary, the Udall faculty representative for Kansas State University, for informational meeting on either Wednesday, Oct. 9 or Thursday, Oct. 10.  Both sessions will be at 3:30 p.m. in Student Union Stateroom Three.

The Udall is a prestigious $5,000 award that will provide funding for undergraduate study during academic year 2014-15, and K-State students have competed very successfully for the Udall in past years. The campus deadline for students wishing to apply for the Udall will be Nov. 1. These informational sessions will explain the campus nomination process and application procedures, discuss what the Udall seeks in its applicants and provide tips regarding how to prepare a strong application.
