Two Kansas State University professors of entomology, Yoonseong Park, left, and Kun Yan Zhu, right,  delivered keynote addresses at the fourth International Conference of Insect Physiology, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, or IPMB, from June 15-19 in Nanjing, China. Park's address was "Evolutionary processes of insect neuropeptides and their receptors," and Zhu's was "Chitin biosynthetic pathway: A unique target for chemical and RNAi-based insect pest management."

Park served on the meeting's academic board committee. Zhu served on both the organizing committee and the academic board committee, and also served as a chair for a branch session on insect molecular toxicology and insect molecular pharmacology during the conference.

More than 300 people from 17 countries attended the conference.
