Architectural engineering senior awarded Tau Beta Pi Scholarship

Kristin Stewart, senior in architectural engineering, has been awarded a $2,000 scholarship for 2013-2014 from the Tau Beta Pi national engineering honor society.

An honors student, Stewart is president of the Kansas Gamma Chapter of Tau Beta Pi; editor of Phi Alpha Epsilon honor society; member of the Illuminating Engineering Society; and knights and saints chair of K-State's Steel Ring senior honor society. 

Tau Beta Pi Scholarships are awarded to members on a competitive basis of high scholarship, campus leadership and service, and promise of future contributions to the engineering profession. 

Tau Beta Pi is the world's largest engineering society. Membership represents the highest honor to be obtained by an engineering student, and is awarded on the basis of high scholarship and exemplary character.
