K-State Research Forum today

Submitted by Megan Miller

The 16th annual K-State Research Forum is 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today on the second floor of the K-State Student Union.

The forum is a showcase of scholarly research conducted by undergraduate and graduate students from all disciplines at K-State. This on-campus event provides K-State students an opportunity to share their research with the K-State community and to gain experience presenting their work in a professional setting. Students will present their research to faculty judges, who will select the top presentations in each section.

Undergraduate students will give oral presentations and graduate students will give either poster or oral presentations. Awards will be given to the top three presenters from each presentation category. Plaques will be displayed in the home academic departments of each first place presenter.

All students, faculty and staff are welcome to attend all portions of the event, including the awards ceremony, which will include a keynote address by Christopher Sorensen, university distinguished professor of physics.

Additional information including program schedules and presentation abstracts may be accessed at research forum.
