Andrew McGowan to compete in national video and poster competition

By Keith Rutlin

Andrew McGowan, a National Science Foundation Integrative Graduate Education and Research Traineeship, or IGERT, doctoral trainee from the department of agronomy, will represent Kansas State University and compete in the online National Science Foundation IGERT Video and Poster Competition May 21-23.

McGowan has been a K-State IGERT trainee since August 2011. The program is part of the Center for Sustainable Energy, directed by Mary Rezac, professor of chemical engineering.

The national Integrative Graduate Education and Research Traineeship program is the National Science Foundation’s flagship interdisciplinary training program, educating American doctoral scientists and engineers by building on the foundations of their disciplinary knowledge with interdisciplinary training.
