Registration still open for 18th annual Dog-N-Jog on April 6

Submitted by Kristina Wert

Hosted by the College of Veterinary Medicine's class of 2014, the 18th annual Dog-N-Jog is Saturday, April 6, and includes both 5K and 10K road races as well as a 1.5K fun run/walk.

This event benefits KSDS Inc., formerly Kansas Specialty Dog Service Inc., which is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the training and placement of canine assistants to individuals with physical disabilities. The service provides dogs at no cost to the individuals for one of two areas of service, guide dogs for the blind or visually impaired, or service dogs for physically disabled.

Registration is still open online and race day registration will be available up to race start at 9 a.m. Dogs are encouraged but not required for entry. More information is available online.
