'A Walk in My Shoes' documentary available on secure website

Submitted by Patrice Scott

Due to the campuswide interest in the documentary about the lives of six College of Education international doctoral students and their cultures, the film titled “A Walk in my Shoes” is now available on a secure website. Faculty and staff can access the film by going to https://www.k-state.edu/webcast/education/walk/.

Kay Ann Taylor, associate professor of curriculum and instruction, initiated the project and was pleased the initial screening generated so much interest.

“It’s wonderful that colleagues across campus are interested in our international students’ experiences and their perspectives about their home countries, educational systems and what their lives are like on campus,” Taylor said. “It is intended as a resource for faculty to share with their students in their classes. One of our overarching goals with “A Walk in My Shoes” is to promote and enhance understanding that leads to increased cultural competence for faculty, staff and students.”
