Anthropologists curate exhibit at Maine museum, present at area college

By Harald E.L. Prins

Bunny McBride, adjunct faculty in anthropology, and Harald E.L. Prins, distinguished professor of anthropology, were the guest curators of a new blockbuster exhibit at the Abbe Museum in Bar Harbor, Maine. The exhibit, "Indians and Rusticators: Wabanakis and Summer Visitors on Mount Desert Island, 1840s-1920s," opened July 9. McBride and Prins offered several public lectures in conjunction with the exhibit's opening festivities.

McBride and Prins also presented the illustrated lecture "Wabanakis at the Fjord" on July 11 at the Acadia Senior College, Northeast Harbor, Maine.
