Entomology professor presents at international meeting on cultural heritage pests

Tom Phillips, professor of entomology, participated in the Meeting on Cultural Heritage Pests at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Piacenza, Italy, June 7-9 and presented a talk on the fumigation and IPM alternatives for arthropod pests of museums. The meeting was organized by the Centre for the Protection of the Cultural Heritage from Harmful Organisms. Promoting a connection between those who are working on cultural heritage pests is one of Centre's main tasks. The purpose of the meeting was to present recent advances and to encourage a multidisciplinary approach to monitoring and control of insects that cause of deterioration of cultural heritage objects.
