Help K-State Libraries evaluate online language effectiveness

Submitted by Donna Ekart

All academic areas use specialized language, and academic libraries are no exception. However, such jargon is seldom recognized by those who use it most. K-State Libraries would like your help evaluating the effectiveness of library terms commonly used online. Through a survey available on the K-State Axio Survey system, the Libraries hope to learn whether any changes in terminology are necessary and find opportunities to offer clarification or instruction.

Your help will be greatly appreciated and should prove beneficial in adjusting library language to the needs of K-Staters.

To take the survey, please go to: https://online.ksu.edu/Survey/take/takeSurvey.do?offeringId=201244.

For questions or additional information about this effort, contact Tara Coleman, web services librarian.
