Kathryn Harth: Why I support the All-University Campaign

By Susan Wolf Berhow

Kathryn Harth, All-University Campaign Co-Chair

When Kathryn Harth, program coordinator for conferences and noncredit programs in the Division of Continuing Education, talks about why she supports the All-University Campaign, one word comes up a lot: future.

“I support the All-University Campaign because I'm proud to work for K-State, and I believe in what we have planned for our future,” she said. “I feel like my donation helps to guarantee we will continue to be a major influence in higher education and in our state. This campaign is about sending a message to alumni, K-State supporters and future students, and I want to be a part of that positive message.”

Harth said she specifically likes to support scholarships for students.

“The cost of earning a college degree is steadily increasing, and it wasn't all that long ago that I was writing checks to pay off my student loans,” she said. “I donate to scholarships through the All-University Campaign to help alleviate some of that burden for future students.”

A co-chair for the campaign this year, Harth says she believes every gift makes a difference.

“It's not about how much you contribute during this campaign, it's about being part of the team -- the team that believes in the future of K-State and our ability to impact the lives of students,” she said. “Your gift may seem small, but when combined with everyone else's gift we can make a difference together. Find a fund you're passionate about and show your support through a gift to the All University Campaign.”
