Live United: Investing in the community has never been easier

Submitted by K-State United Way committee

President Schulz speaks at the United Way kickoff Friday.

The K-State United Way campaign is in full swing after a jazz-filled kickoff event Friday, Oct. 26. Now is the time to invest in the community that supports K-State, and making that investment has never been easier. Make an online pledge this year in as little as five minutes. Get started by visiting k-state.edu/unitedway. Paper pledge forms are also printable from the website for submission to 103 Edwards Hall. Donors can choose to support United Way of Riley County or select from other United Way agency options.

United Way donations serve as a community chest to support area nonprofits like Big Brothers Big Sisters, Catholic Charities, Sunflower CASA, Crisis Center and many more. Without this funding, many of these charities would have to limit services or halt service altogether. Each gift really can change lives in the local community.

Thanks to the campus volunteers who attended the opening event. All other campus volunteers can retrieve materials from 122 Anderson, 103 Edwards or 144 Dole Hall. Let's make this our most significant K-State United Way campaign yet.
