November Science Cafe to discuss origins of the 1918 pandemic influenza

Join the Kansas Citizens for Science and the K-State Chapter of Sigma Xi, the Scientific Research Society, for this month's Manhattan Science Cafe from 7-8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, at Radina's Coffeehouse and Roastery, 616 N. Manhattan Ave.

Sally Davis, assistant professor of experimental pathology, will present "It's the Centenary of Spanish Flu! What does this mean to you?" Come learn about the 1918 pandemic influenza, its origins and its relevance to how we combat modern seasonal influenza and consider future pandemics.
