K-State welcomes 2018 Australian Fulbright Professional Scholar Anitza Geneve to campus

Submitted by Mary K. Pyle

K-State will welcome Anitza Geneve, 2018 Australian Fulbright professional scholar in vocational education and training, as part of the Oz to Oz program. Geneve's visit is presented by the College of Education, the Office of International Programs and K-State Global Campus.

Geneve will give a public lecture, "A MOOC to Support the Digital Literacy of Australian Vocational Education and Training," at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, in 1092 College of Business Building. A reception and meet and greet will immediately follow her Q&A session in the same location.

Geneve's visit is hosted by Deepak P. Subramony, associate professor and coordinator of educational technology graduate programs in the College of Education.

"We are thrilled to be presenting Dr. Anitza to our community," Subramony said. "She has a wealth of experience in the Australian market to share with us and her unique perspective is one that further extends the value of our Kansas State Oz to Oz partnership. I know that she will be eager to share her professional overview and meet members of our campus community."

During her stay on campus, Geneve will meet with the president, provost, research executives, agriculture extension, Global Campus, College of Education, the Office of International Programs and with John Leslie, director of the Oz to Oz initiative.

Faculty members interested in meeting with Geneve may contact Deepak at deepak7@k-state.edu.

The K-State Oz to Oz program shares faculty from Kansas State University and Australian institutions to forge a bond between our institutions. Faculty members serve as hosts to welcome presenters that will elevate our knowledge, provide connections, perspectives and enhance our collaborations and research.
