K-State students accepted as early decisions to University of Kansas School of Medicine

Submitted by Malorie Wagner

Eleven students from K-State's College of Arts and Sciences and two students from the College of Human Ecology were accepted to University of Kansas School of Medicine through its early decision program. The students were able to apply to medical school early by choosing to apply only to the University of Kansas School of Medicine.

"We are very proud of each of these students and the commitment they have shown both in the classroom and outside of it through shadowing, service, leadership and other professional development experiences," said pre-health advisor Kaela Urquhart. "Each followed their own path as we see a variety of majors and interests represented within this group. We wish them all the best as they enter the KU School of Medicine as proud K-State alum this July."

The following students from the College of Arts and Sciences were accepted as early decision students into the University of Kansas School of Medicine:

Xena Moore, medical biochemistry, De Soto; Sydney Vahling, biology, Hays; Elizabeth Weesner, chemical science, Leawood; Katherine Hwang, biology, Manhattan; Kimberly Hughes, life sciences, Olathe; Nicholas Nordstrom, life sciences, Overland Park; Ethan Woodcock, life sciences, Rossville; Grace Reilly, medical biochemistry, Tonganoxie; David Brown, biology, Topeka; Nathaniel Cameron, English, Westwood; and William Crawford, biology, Kansas City, Missouri.
