Mathematics department invites middle school students to participate in national math competition

K-State's mathematics department will host the American Math Competition 8 for students in grades 8 and below. This national competition is a challenging 25-question, 40-minute, multiple choice examination in middle school mathematics designed to promote the development of problem-solving skills.
The test will be offered starting at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, in 146 Cardwell Hall. Interested students should email Debra Webb, senior administrative specialist, at ugmath@math.ksu.edu, by the end of September.
