Dobrzanski presents lecture-recitals in Europe

Sławomir Dobrzański, professor of music, presented a lecture-recital devoted to the life and works of the celebrated 19th century pianist and composer Chevalier Anton de Kontski at the World Piano Teachers Conference June 27-July 3 in Novi Sad, Serbia.
In May, Dobrzański presented a lecture-recital comparing music by the Polish romantic composer Maria Szymanowska with that of her contemporary, Stanisław Moiniuszko. This event was part of the National Musicological Conference "Stanisław Moniuszko — The Man, The Work, The Idea," which took place at the Moniuszko Music Academy in Gdańsk, Poland. Also in May in Gdańsk, Dobrzański presented a lecture-recital about the life and works of Maria Szymanowska, as part of lecture series "Obserwatoium Muzyczne," sponsored by the Moniuszko Music Academy's History and Theory Faculty.
