Submitted by Kim Morgan

Friends and colleagues are invited to celebrate the retirement of two longtime social work faculty members Janice Dinkel and A. Elizabeth "Betsy" Cauble from 4:30-7 p.m. Friday, April 27, at the K-State Alumni Center.

Dinkel joined the K-State social work faculty as a part-time social work instructor in 1983. She became an associate professor of social work in 1994 and coordinator of the social work program in 1997. Dinkel has served on many university committees, including co-chair of the Campus United Way Campaign, 2002-2005; co-chair of the
Commission on the Status of Women, 2002-2005; and the Academic Affairs Committee of the Center on Aging, 2006 to 2018.

Cauble, associate professor and associate social work program coordinator, came to K-State social work program in 1993 and has overseen the social work program on the K-State Polytechnic campus since 2015. Before becoming program coordinator, Cauble was the head of the sociology, anthropology and social work department for more than a decade. Cauble's service to the university includes many university and departmental committees throughout her career, including president of the university faculty senate.
