Cli-Fi: Join the Kansas Science Communication Initiative for a climate fiction seminar

Charlene D'Avanzo, author and professor emeritus from Hampshire College in Amherst, Massachusetts, will deliver a seminar, "Cli-Fi: Climate Science and Politics in Human Stories," from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, March 15 in 324 Ackert Hall. The seminar is sponsored by the Kansas Science Communication Initiative

D'Avanzo is a marine ecologist and award-winning environmental educator who studied the New England coast for 40 years. Her Mara Tusconi Oceanography Mystery Series takes readers into the stunning beauty of Maine's seawaters and other magnificent coasts and addresses the grave threats facing them. An avid sea kayaker, D'Avanzo lives in Yarmouth, Maine.
