The K-State geography department continues a long tradition of hosting the past president of the American Association of Geographers for a spring semester colloquium.

Glen MacDonald, distinguished professor and John Muir memorial chair in the departments of geography and ecology/environmental biology at UCLA, will present a public lecture, "Beyond the Perfect Drought — Climate Warming and California Hydrology," at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 16, in 4 Kedzie Hall. The talk is sponsored by the geography department and the Beta Psi chapter of Gamma Theta Upsilon, the international geographical honor society.

MacDonald's work focuses on climate change, environmental change, and the societal impacts of such change.
