K-State Libraries announce closures, reduced hours and services over break

Submitted by Sarah McGreer Hoyt

All K-State Libraries locations will have reduced hours between Saturday, Dec. 16, and Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2018.

Please note that Hale Library will be closed entirely Saturday, Dec. 23-Monday, Dec. 25, and Saturday, Dec. 30-Monday, Jan. 1, 2018. The Anita C. Lehner 24 Hour Study Area on Hale Library's first floor is open 24/7 all year.

All other K-State Libraries locations will be closed for longer periods; check the online calendars for each schedule.

In addition, several library services will have reduced hours during the winter break:

  • Interlibrary loan and annex retrievals: Interlibrary loan will be closed from Dec. 25 through Jan. 2, 2018. Requests can still be submitted during this time, but they will not be processed until after Jan. 2, 2018. There will not be retrievals from the annex facility during this same period.
  • Special collections: The Morse Department of Special Collections will be open to researchers by appointment only from Dec. 24 through Jan. 18, 2018. To make an appointment contact the department at 785-532-7456 or libsc@k-state.edu.
